Sunday’s Major League Soccer MLS Cup final in Toronto features two unlikely finalists—FC Dallas and Colorado Rapids. FC Dallas is the only original MLS club to never reach the final, while Colorado has never won the MLS Cup and is in the big game for only the second time.
Other than that, enjoy the game and enjoy this video…
Sometimes I wish there was a television station that just played a slideshow of all the ridiculous screenshots from that day. Because there are so many! And then once that became popular, they’d have to break it up into separate channels, like Crazy Talk Show Guests. Or Sports. But until that inevitable day comes, we can use these to tide us over.
Some players fight in an attempt to gain some momentum during their team’s sluggish performance, while others are simply looking for revenge from an earlier incident in the game, or season. Chalk up this battle between the Coyotes’ Derek Morris and the Flames’ Curtis Glencross as a result of the latter.
After sending the puck into the Coyotes’ zone, Glencross went in hard on the forecheck, like any hard-nosed player would do, and rattled Phoenix defenseman Keith Yandle with a rather stiff check.
While Yandle left the ice in a bit of a daze, Morris was looking for some retribution, and he found it as he pummeled Glencross with a steady dose of right hands in this edition of the Jagger Mafia “Hockey Fight of the Night.”
While trash talking is a big part of professional sports, it is not the only place we find enemies exchanging in a war of words.
Everyone loves to see the animosity between two popular media figures boil over into a heated verbal exchange, and now you can get your fix thanks to the Celebrity Smack Talk Soundboard….
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was fired up on Sunday night. Brady, who said he “felt like the worst QB ever” following the Patriots’ disappointing loss to the lowly Cleveland Browns last week, was more animated on the sidelines than normal while helping lead his team to a big win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. During the NBC broadcast, he was even seen yelling at teammates on the sidelines.
Japanese MMA fighter Jung Hyun Lee deserved every second of his pummeling from Takeo Shiina after that ridiculous pre-fight taunt. To bad Lee couldn’t do all that bobbing and weaving during the fight to avoid getting knocked the f*&k out!
As for the referee who took a vicious knee to the head from Shiina as he tried to break up the fight, I guess that is just a bad case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
The madness begins at the 1:05 mark.
